Libek Organizes a Panel Discussion on Government Spending in Serbia

On May 27th, Libertarian Club – Libek organized a panel discussion called „How does government spend our money“ at Hilton Belgrade.

On October 4, 2016, the sixth Liberal Policy Academy was opened. The program represents the most comprehensive education project in Libek's eight years long history and it is the biggest step towards quality education for liberty. Sixth generation is the third generation of Liberal Policy Academy's students who are attending the advanced and extended program. Lectures are given by experts, university professors, analysts and activists from Serbia and other countries, as well as Libek's lecturers.

Libek's representatives and program coordinators were speaking at the opening ceremony – Peđa Mitrović (Capitalism and Freedom), World Banks's consultant, Petar Čekerevac (Objectivist School John Galt), executive manager of Libek, Đorđe Jovićević (Debate Course), one of the most successful debaters from Serbia, member of the Open Communication, Biljana Stepanović (Economic Journalism Course), one of the most respected Serbian economic journalists and editor of Nova Ekonomija Magazine, Mihailo Gajić (Public Policy Analysis), Libek's research unit director, Nikola Jović (Public Opinion Polls Research Techniques), teaching assistant at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Political Sciences, as well as Creative Program coordinators Goran Milovanović, PhD in cognitive psychology and data scientist, and Milan Ćirković, astrophysicist and contributor of the Future of Humanity Institute of the Oxford University.

At the ceremony the Libek was represented to the new students as well as the program which will be conducted in next nine months. This year, as in the previous, our students will have the opportunity to take six different courses – Capitalism and Freedom where the Milton Friedman's book will be discussed, Objectivist School John Galt where one of the most provocative philosophic schools will be discussed, Debate Course where our students will get practical skills for speaking and argumentation, Economic Journalism Course which aims to introduce economic news writing skills to the students, as well two mandatory courses – Public Policy Analysis and Public Opinion Polls Research Techniques. The Creative Program will be conducted beside the courses where the students will have the opportunity to discuss some of the most important films and books.
