The members of the Libertarian Club participated in the Liberty Forum, an annual international conference organized by the Atlas Network. This year the conference was held in New York City. The conference brought together around 400 participants, representing organizations from over 40 countries.
The keynote speaker at the Freedom dinner was the Nobel prize laureate, Mario Vargas Llosa.
The members of the Libertarian Club also visited Washington DC, where they attended two conferences organized by the Cato Institute: "Ending the Global War on Drugs" and the "29th Annual Monetary Conference".
The members of the Libertarian Club attended the Law and Democracy conference in Vienna, organized by the Federalist Society. Topics discussed at the conference were the freedom of assembly and the response to the global ecnomic crisis from the legal perspective. Special guest of the conference was the U.S Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito. Constitutional court judges from Hungary, Poland and Georgia were among the lecturers, along with other experts in the field of law and finances.
